I waited patiently for the Lord: and He inclined unto me, and heard my cry. He brought me up also out of a horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings. And He hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the Lord.
It has not been my practice to make public announcements concerning my personal health issues, but I believe that the great God I love and serve will be glorified by my doing so now. I began having vocal troubles in July 2016, when a mass was found on my throat. The trouble increased through August and September, and I was diagnosed in early October with stage 4 large cell lymphoma B cancer (neck and throat, high chest, some few spots on my lungs and a spot on the spleen). I cannot describe the deep waters that God has brought my wife Anne and I through in these brief months, nor is it perhaps the time or place to elaborate here.
Our church and 2 other churches prayed for God’s divine healing for me during a combined service (James 5:14,15; Mat.8:16,17). The power and virtue of Christ’s healing is found in his atoning blood, whether he heals directly and instantly, or uses medical means. Today, December 27, 2016, my wonderful Oncologist Dr. Andrew Fintel read me the Pet Scan report results– THANK GOD ALMIGHTY, I AM HEALED OF THE CANCER!! ALL PRAISE TO THE FATHER, THE SON, AND THE HOLY GHOST, FROM WHOM ALL BLESSINGS FLOW.
My deepest thanks to all who have prayed so diligently for me and Anne during these times, and especially to our little country church family, Bethel Assembly. As you continue to pray, it is my intent to return to my concert and testimony ministry as I gain strength. I will sing that new song Jesus has put in my mouth, even praise to our God. “AND MANY SHALL SEE IT, AND FEAR, AND SHALL TRUST IN THE LORD!"
